My name is Kate Cross, and I am an independent home carer and a retired nurse, bringing many years of healthcare experience into the care I provide at home.

Having worked in nursing, I understand how important safe, knowledgeable and attentive care is, especially when supporting people to remain independent in familiar surroundings. Now retired from nursing, I am enjoying working independently as a home care assistant.  I am able to offer unhurried, person-centred support that is tailored to each individual, not squeezed into tight time slots.

I support people with day-to-day living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, companionship, appointments and maintaining routines that matter. My nursing background means I am confident supporting people with more complex needs, while always prioritising dignity, respect and professional boundaries.

Families often value the reassurance that comes with my clinical experience, alongside a calm, friendly and dependable approach. I take time to listen, build trust and provide care that feels consistent and safe.
